 New date, new time! Join us for this month's Sensory Friendly Craft Hour, taking place on Monday, September 30th, at 4:30 PM. What can you expect this time around? We'll be making some galaxy slime that matches the colorful beauty of the galaxy we live in! And of course, while you're creating your slime, you can enjoy some soothing music under dim and calming lighting. Hope to see you there!

 Calling all painters and literature-lovers alike! September's literary themed painting takes us to the world of "Fantastic Mr. Fox," where we'll celebrate the life of acclaimed author, Roald Dahl. Even if you've never picked up a brush before, t his event is for all skill-levels ages 15 and up, so don't worry about how much time you've spent behind a canvas. As always, painting materials are provided, so you'll be set to paint your own fox as soon as you walk in!

 Have you ever wondered about any apps Google makes available to those with a Google account? From Gmail and Docs, to Google Drive and Photos, we'll give you a rundown on what purpose each of these have and how to use them. We'll also talk about how they can make storing files and photos more convenient, that way you don't have to worry losing anything if happens to your phone or computer. This class runs from 1 PM to 2 PM on Monday, September 16th.

 Looking to bring out your creativity by molding your own play dough sculptures? Want to gift someone special a custom-made friendship bracelet of your own making as a symbol of friendship? Or how about showing off your board game and Wii Sports skills in friendly competition? September's Tween & Teen Hangout is jam-packed with lots of ways to unwind and have fun! Join us every Thursday at 4:30 PM, with snacks also provided depending on the week's activity. Hope to see you there!

 

 From our wonderful story time crafts and sensory-friendly homemade playdough, to exploring Herman Melville's "Moby Dick" through artistic creativity; August had it all here at the Westside Library!
